Need A New Patio Or Deck? Now's The Time To Get Things Moving
Sep 03, 2018

At Lifestyle Patios, we find that people often decide they want a new patio or deck before Christmas, but leave it to the last moment to get things in motion. This means our designers and builders are under the pump from September to December, and sometimes customers miss out because we simply don’t have time to service all the requests that come our way. So, to ensure you get the patio or deck you’re dreaming about before the holiday season, here are a few things you need to know about our planning, design and building process.

At Lifestyle Patios we follow a 7-step process that ensures you end up with the right patio or deck for your needs and that takes all the tedious stuff – like permits and approvals – off your hands.

1. Design Consultation

The first step is to give us a call and organise for one of our experienced Design Consultants to visit you to work out what options are available to you. Things we take into account include the size of your property, the style of your house, your budget, and what you are looking for in a patio or deck. This detailed consultation phase is vitally important, as it forms the basis for the next phase, where we design your new patio or deck.

2. The Proposal

Following the consultation, we prepare a proposal for you based on your requirements and our assessment of the site. At Lifestyle Patios, we work diligently to design a unique patio or deck that meets your needs and your budget. Best of all, both the consultation and proposal phases are completely free of charge!

3. No Paperwork Headaches!

With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, we know exactly what’s required in terms of getting QBCC Insurance and Council approvals for your new patio or deck. Which is why we take care of all the paperwork for you, leaving you to get on with your life. We’ll also chase up the approvals and keep you posted, so there’s no chance they’ll ‘slip through the cracks’ at your local council and delay the start of the project.

4. Materials Are Delivered

As soon as the required QBCC Insurance and Council approvals have been received, we organise for all the materials for your patio or deck to be delivered to your home, so everything is in place, ready for the construction phase to begin.

5. The Construction Team Arrives

Once all the materials are delivered, it’s time for the Lifestyle Patios Construction Team to arrive and begin to build your new patio or deck. We pride ourselves on carrying out construction efficiently, professionally and safely, and we always clean up before we leave.

6. Completion Phase

Then, the moment you’ve been waiting for – your patio or deck is finished! This is when we show you all the features of your new addition and talk to you through some maintenance tips, to ensure your patio or deck looks its best for years to come and is protected from the harsh Australian weather.

7. Final Inspection & Sign Off

Before we leave you to enjoy your new patio or deck, we organise the final Council inspection and approval process, so you can relax in the knowledge that everything is ship-shape. Then it’s time for you to add your personal touches to your outdoor area, from plants, to furniture, or even perhaps creating an outdoor room for entertaining guests in style.

While Lifestyle Patios’ 7-step process is as efficient as possible, it still takes time. This is why, if you’re thinking of adding a patio or deck to your home, give us a call and put things in motion. so you don’t find yourself still dreaming of a new outdoor area when Christmas rocks around.
