Consultation
Join us for a personalised session with one of our expert Brisbane patio design consultants. We will sit down with you, at our expense, and work out exactly what you need, the specific issues you need to resolve and what you are looking for given your unique situation. Your design consultant will help you choose from an extensive range of custom options for your outdoor structure, including gates, privacy screens and much more.
Proposal
Once we have learned exactly what you want and need, your Lifestyle Patios design consultant will prepare your unique design proposal for you (again at our expense) for your brand new, professionally built patio, deck or carport. At Lifestyle Patios we work diligently to design your outdoor living projects to give you exactly what you need at the price you can afford.
We Do The Paperwork
At Lifestyle Patios, we have over 20 years’ experience designing and building patios, decks and carports, and getting QBCC Insurance and Council approvals. We will take care of all your approvals for you so you don’t need to worry about a thing. Not only that, we will chase the authorities for you and keep you posted, so you won’t feel like your paperwork has 'slipped through the cracks' at your local council.
Receive Your Materials
The moment your QBCC Insurance and Council approvals have been received, we will organise for your materials to be delivered straight to your address, ready for the construction phase to begin.
Construction
Once your materials arrive at your home, we know you will be getting excited, because your Lifestyle Patios Construction Team is about to arrive to start building your new patio, deck or carport – quickly, professionally, safely, and without leaving any mess.
Completion
Before you know it, we will have finished your job. We will demonstrate the features of your new building and give you all the helpful maintenance tips and tricks that will keep your structure looking its best for many years to come.
Final Inspection
We don’t finish there though. We will also organise your final council inspection and approvals, so all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed, and your new addition is fully approved by your local authority. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common things people ask us, from council approvals and timelines to design choices and warranties. What customisation options are available?

How long does the entire construction process take?
Roughly 4 – 8 weeks from quote to build, provided there are no holdups with council approvals or manufacturing.
In some cases, your patio may need council relaxation approval. This isn’t always required, but when it is, the process can take up to 12 weeks. We’ll advise you early if this applies, so there are no surprises.
The process from start to finish is: quote, sign up, check measure, council approval, order/manufacturing, build, and then sign off by certifiers.
What is the process for obtaining council approvals, and how are delays handled?
After your check measure is completed, your plans are sent to you for review and signing. From here, your plans are sent along with the application to the certifiers for council approval.
If your project requires council relaxation, this can extend the timeline. While not always necessary, approval can take up to 12 weeks. We’ll flag this early if it applies to your build
Delays can be unknown; mains, sewers, stormwater, sewer connections, and easements need to be located. Typically, the certifier picks these up if the customer is unsure of their location. We may need to return to the site for site-specific measurements, or a plumber may be needed to locate services that are unseen.
Our office is in constant contact with the certifiers. Any issues presented by the certifiers are able to be addressed quickly to try and minimise any further delays.
How do you ensure the quality of materials used in construction?
We have long used Apollo as our main supplier. Apollo Patios is an Australian-owned and operated company that specialises exclusively in the manufacture of patios and roofing systems.
Apollo designs, engineers, and manufactures 100% in-house to create a range of roofing profiles in twenty-three colours.
As all our structures are uniquely designed for you, we also outsource some of our powder coating; however, generally, everything comes from Apollo.
What maintenance is required to keep my new structure in good condition?
Regular gutter cleaning is required, especially if there are trees in the area. We suggest cleaning your patio roof when needed to reduce dirt and insects.
Routinely keeping up with your property’s pest control will ensure insects are not making your new roof, home.
Routinely inspect your structure. Follow the maintenance guide provided in your warranty pack from the manufacturer.
Are there any warranties or guarantees for the work done?
Yes, workmanship and manufacturing warranties are guaranteed.
- Leak warranty: 12 months
- Build warranty: 6.5 years
- Product warranty: 15 years
How do you handle changes or modifications during the construction process?
Each case is individual and requires communication and signed variations for any and all changes made. You are provided with your plans at the start of the contract. From there, they are checked and measured.
Any changes made at the checkpoint are discussed with you, and a new set of plans is sent to you for review and signing. Should the builder note a change is needed on the day of the build, this is again discussed with you, and a new set of plans is sent for review and signing before moving ahead.
The customer is always required to approve any change before we proceed, no matter what stage the project is at.
